The Friends of the SteamPlant is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that provides support to the historic SteamPlant Theater and Event Center with volunteers and operational assistance; arts, cultural and community enrichment rental subsidies; and funding special needs for improvement of the facility other than operating costs. THE STEAMPLANT THEATER AND EVENT CENTER
The SteamPlant Theater and Event Center is the cultural heart of the region where history, art, passion, commerce and community gather; a "family room" for the entire community. Located on the Arkansas River in downtown Salida, Colorado, this historic facility is owned and operated by the City of Salida. The Friends of the SteamPlant is an independent, volunteer organization not connected to the City of Salida.
